Gauri K. Bayoumi

Since her admission to the Maryland Bar in December 2015, Gauri Bayoumi has distinguished herself as a dedicated advocate in family law. Her journey in the legal field is marked by a blend of rigorous academic preparation and practical experience, underscoring her commitment to providing comprehensive legal solutions.

Gauri’s academic journey began at The George Washington University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance in May 2011. This financial background lends her a unique perspective in dealing with the complex monetary aspects of family law cases. She then pursued her legal aspirations at the University of Baltimore School of Law, earning her J.D. with a concentration in family law in May 2015.

During her time in law school, Gauri honed her mediation skills, completed 40 hours of mediation training as prescribed by the Maryland Rules of Procedure, as well as an additional 20 hours, which qualifies her to mediate child access cases. This training, along with her hands-on experience as a Maryland Rule 16 Student Attorney with the University of Baltimore Mediation Clinic for Families, equipped her with the necessary skills to effectively mediate child access cases and foster amicable resolutions.

Gauri’s legal career has been firmly rooted in family law. She is not only collaboratively trained but also certified to represent children in custody and divorce proceedings, showcasing her versatility and deep understanding of the nuances in family law. Her areas of expertise encompass a wide array of family law matters, ranging from divorce litigation and custody/child support matters to the intricacies of marital assets division, as well as preparing Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Advanced Healthcare Directives.

Her exemplary work has not gone unnoticed. Gauri has been consistently recognized by her peers, earning a spot on the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list from 2019 to 2024.

Beyond her legal career, Gauri is also a real estate investor and an entrepreneur, owning and managing a property management business with her husband. This venture reflects her versatile skill set and ability to juggle multiple responsibilities effectively.

When not immersed in the intricacies of family law or managing her business, Gauri cherishes her personal time. She is an avid traveler, always eager to explore new destinations. Her love for culinary adventures leads her to various restaurants, enjoying the plethora of flavors life has to offer. Most importantly, she finds joy and fulfillment in spending quality time with her husband, their two children, and their beloved dogs.
