Adrián Martínez

Biography

Adrián Martínez is an associate at Oliver Leffler Law, and represents clients throughout central Maryland, including Howard County, Montgomery County, Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Carroll County. Adrián handles legal issues related to family law, trusts & estates, and guardianships.

Born and raised in South Florida, Adrián attended Florida International University, where he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. During college, Adrián had internships in various law firms in South Florida where he assisted in handling cases involving family law, trusts & estates, guardianships, and workers’ compensation. After graduating from Florida International University, Adrián served as a law clerk, a position he maintained for several years.

During law school, Adrián demonstrated versatility through various roles. This included an externship at FreeState Justice in Baltimore, Maryland, where tasks ranged from meeting clients and conducting legal research in support of legislation. Adrian’s tenure was further accentuated with experiences as a Summer Associate at a big law firm in Baltimore, Maryland, and serving as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Daniel A. Friedman of the Appellate Court of Maryland.

Adrián successfully balanced his work during law school while serving as an exemplary student.  Adrian contributed as Assistant Managing Editor for the University of Baltimore Law Forum, received a Dean’s Citation for academic achievement, and ultimately graduated magna cum laude at the top 9% of his class. After law school in 2022, Adrián obtained a Post-JD Certification in Family Law

In December 2020, Adrián began his tenure with the Maryland Judiciary in Ellicott City, Maryland as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Quincy L. Coleman. In this role, he collaborated closely with judges, law clerks, and support staff on a myriad of legal issues spanning various practice fields, including direct communication with attorneys and litigants, reviewing motions, conducting extensive legal research, and drafting court orders and memoranda for both civil and criminal matters. On occasion, he also stepped in as the acting law librarian for the Howard County Circuit Court.

Adrián’s dedication to law and helping families and individuals through difficult times, combined with his vast experience, makes him a valuable part of our team, ensuring he delivers unparalleled legal expertise in every setting.

Adrián resides in Baltimore City with his partner and dog. When not helping clients, he enjoys cooking, gardening, and traveling.
